Hi, I'm Christine Tonkin, your local member for Churchlands.

The place I call home is in Wembley where I've lived since the late 1980s, in the same street that my grandparents lived in.

I’m an expert in public procurement reform and have worked in this field for over 25 years in Queensland, for the United Nations, and as an international consultant. Not work that's easy to explain to my grandchildren!

I ran for Labor because Premier Mark McGowan put our health first, and did everything he could to keep WA safe. Since I was elected, I have been working tirelessly to be the local representative Churchlands deserves.

An old friend once told me that we have two ears and one mouth and should do twice as much listening as talking. I am committed to listening to the people of Churchlands and reflecting your concerns and aspirations in the Cook Labor Government.

If you would like to discuss a local issue, raise a concern, or seek assistance from my office, please get in touch!
